Caroline Johnson is a natural storyteller in a powerful jumpsuit who approaches all her work with just the right blend of compassion and sass. As a content strategist at Piper & Gold Public Relations, she tells the stories of organizations that do great work but need a boost from some PR pros to spread the word.
Caroline has a sixth sense for when other people need support. She deploys her superpower by listening closely so she can offer insight and assistance her charges wouldn’t otherwise have asked for.
She does her best work when she is collaborating with the P&G team, a cup of cold brew by her side, searching for new stories to tell.
Caroline is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Arts & Letters, with a bachelor’s degree in professional writing. While she was at MSU, she was the managing editor of MSU’s student-run fashion and beauty magazine, VIM, and she worked with Snares to Wares, a nonprofit conservation initiative dedicated to improving human livelihood and protecting wildlife in Uganda.

- Organized and launched MSU College of Arts & Letters' annual Give Green Day campaign to encourage donations from students, faculty and alumni on Giving Tuesday (2018 and 2019). The efforts in 2019 resulted in the first time ever the College of Arts & Letters Emergency Fund reached and surpassed its goal — and in less than 16 hours.
- Managed a team of six editors and collaborated with writers to enhance three print issues of VIM to ensure an inclusive and innovative magazine.
- Wrote, co-directed and co-produced a short documentary titled "The Language of Art," which features the talented artisans of a life-sized lion sculpture. The short documentary and lion sculpture were on display at the Detroit Zoo for over a year.
