What we say

Lauren Hullum is a deadline driven woman. Give her a spark of inspiration and a strong brainstorming session and she will have a well-executed strategic communications plan done before the day’s end.

As the new student strategist for Piper & Gold Public Relations, she’ll spend her days writing powerful and effective social media campaigns for a wide range of government agencies, nonprofits and businesses.

Not only will she help with P&G clients’ content, but she looks forward to getting engaged in optimizing our agency’s media relations process and outreach, an area of PR interest for her.

Lauren has a knack for finding mentors and a passion for being a mentor to others. She is the first to connect with people who are seeking resources or advice and is always looking for an opportunity to give guidance through sharing her own story.

This Florida native is in her second year at Michigan State University where she studies advertising management and public relations. She is a member of MSU’s TRIO Student Support Services, MSU’s FAME program and MSU Advertising and Public Relations Pipeline program.

You can catch her relaxing after a long week of her crazy academic schedule by drawing, painting or learning about different cultures by trying new foods.

Notable results:

• Selected to be a part of the College of Communications Arts & Sciences Student Panel to inform faculty members and the Dean on effective teaching styles and ways to improve courses.
• Gained a new perspective on advertising and the education system by holding a teaching assistant position for ADV 260 Course Principles of Public Relations at MSU.
• Her hard work in the classroom landed her a position on the committee for MSU's Teachers Scholar Award.
